All ACG trailers and towing are wired with a 7-pin connector.
You choose from our over the tire lasso style ratcheting tie downs or traditional ratcheting tie downs with axle strap bundle!
ACG does not rent Horse Trailers. Simply put, we do not have enough demand to acquire a unit for our rental fleet.
Loading a trailer correctly is crucial for safe hauling and trailer functionality. These are some tips for loading your ACG trailer the right way during your move: Always load heavier in front of the trailer, which is the end that is attached to the tow vehicle. Place about 60% of the weight of your cargo in front of the center load line as indicated in the trailer. Heavier items should be loaded first and lighter items can be placed on top and to the rear. Secure your cargo in place with rope or tie-downs. This will help protect your items and keep them from shifting during transit.
All ACG Trailers have multiple heavy-duty d-rings and other areas to secure your cargo in place with ACG provided straps and tie downs and of course your own rope, straps and tie-downs. Towing equipment comes with tire straps that fit most standard size tires to secure the towed vehicle to the towing device. If your towed vehicle has oversized tires, please let your ACG representative know so we can provide you with options. Ratchet tie-downs are included with your ACG rental.
ACG Cargo (enclosed) trailers are weather and water resistant. If you are moving during inclement weather, it is possible to track moisture into the trailer while loading or unloading. We always recommend packing your important items in waterproof containers. When moving mattresses, use mattress bags to protect your valuable mattresses from moisture and dust that can occur during a move.
To find your hitch system rating, start by examining the three trailer hitch components: -The hitch -The ball mount -The trailer ball Each component is rated for the amount of weight it can haul. The lowest rating of the three components determines the overall rating of your total hitch system. For example, if you have a 3,500 lb. hitch and ball mount with a 2,000 lb. trailer ball, your hitch system is limited to the 2,000 lb. trailer ball towing capacity.
No.
Some loads appear small but are dense and heavy. Items such as boxes of books, food products, building materials and firewood are much heavier than regular household furnishings. You may only fill the trailer 1/3 full with these types of goods before exceeding the max weight of the trailer. Sand and gravel are even heavier. Do not overload the allowed weight indicated on your equipment.
Fishtailing or whipping is not normal. It is caused by mis-loaded cargo. Speed will make it worse. Slow down, get to a safe place where you can reposition your load and put more weight in the front of the trailer. A good rule of thumb is to put 60% of the cargo weight in the front of the trailer. Use plenty of tie-downs to keep the cargo from shifting while you travel.
Please drop off your ACG towing equipment at the same location where you picked up your ACG towing equipment.
There are several factors that go into determining your trailer’s recommended cargo weight. Keep in mind that although there are decals on the trailer that indicate the trailer’s towing capacity, this is not the same as the recommended weight. To find your recommended cargo weight, combine your specific tow vehicle tow rating, that vehicle’s hitch system rating and the capacity of the specific trailer that will be used.

The laws vary from state to state. Normally, ACG customers moving their own household goods are not required to stop, because it is not a commercial move. However, some states require that all types of trucks stop at the weigh stations. If in doubt, stop at the weigh station. Please refer to state laws and regulations to determine whether you need to stop at a weigh station.
The optimal ball height for towing ACG trailers varies by equipment. This is measured from the ground to the middle of the hitch ball, prior to connecting the trailer. If the hitch ball height of your tow vehicle needs to be lower or higher, ACG has a variety of different sized and adjustable ball mounts available to achieve the appropriate height.
ACG does not have a mileage charge for trailer or towing equipment rentals. All trailer and towing rentals include unlimited mileage.
